Christmas Lovely as a Tree Tree's

I am very lucky to have in my hot little hands my Mum's lovely as a tree set. I have put off buying this set as I was afraid that all anyone would ever get from me would be cards with this stamp set on it. Now that I have it here, it is DEFINATELY going on my wish list! This is the most gorgeous set I have stamped with. I have made christmas cards, mens birthday cards, get well cards.. You name it with it since I have had it here. Here is a card that I love! I have seen this type of designed card on many blogs, and I always wanted to give it a try. Do not be too critical on me, as this was my first attempt!! Let me know what you think and if you have any cards made with this set please email me the pictures and we will aim at doing a special feature, on this set.

This card was made using Pacific Point card stock ~A great colour that I have used on several of my christmas card designs this year~ The border stamp is stamped in pacific point. I have based it on basic black and than used white glossy paper, baby wiped in pacific point and brilliant blue ink, and than just stemped the trees in the basic black over it. Than, me being me, needed glitter! So diamond dazzled glitter using the 2 way glue pen on different areas on the card.
Hope yu like it!

creating triangle tri fold using Stampin' Up!

This is one of the current make and takes that I am doing at workshops. Everyone seems to love it! I know that I do. It is using the beautiful tea party designer series paper and the "A Flower For Al Seasons" stamp set. This stamp set is a relatively cheap set ($24.95) but very versatile! I think that the frog in the set is tooo cute! I have made this card basing it on black card stock, layering with a sheet of certainly celery and than overlaping with the "tea party" pink dots. I have wrapped around the main image with the green (looks too me like certainly celery) ribbon, that is free in a ribbon bundle this month for anyone who puts in an order over $100 (you get two colours of ribbon- see flier on blog)
If you would like to see how this card is made, you can hold a workshop, invite your friends over and make some stuff for free!! Please email me to find out how

Tri Shutter Card

For my workshops, I like to ask the hostess what she or he would like to see made. I have a workshop on the weekend, where my wonderful hostess, had asked to see the tri shutter card. I have seen these cards and gee they look nice. But, me being me, never had ventured to make one. So I decided I had better get cracking and make one. I made this a few weeks ago, was going to post it, but the lovely Bec had posted one on her blog the same night and I decided against posting mine in case people thought I was a copy cat lol. Bec's blog is under my paper angels links if you would like to have a look at her gorgeous card.
So, with Mum up here I felt the urge to create!! This is what I came up with! I used pink pirouette as the base card stock. I really like this years in colors! I than added black as a border colour to the raspberry tart designer series paper. I used white ink onto two of my black squares and the gorgeous "Great Friend" Stamp Set, that is available in the mini, for sale until the 30Th November. I really hope that they add this set to the next years September release of our new Stampin' Up! idea book and catalogue.
SO AFTER a bit of measuring and scoring and folding I came up with this card. I really like it, and am planning on using this design of card into my November Christmas card workshops! After adding a brad with a pink rhinestone i was happy.
I hope that my hostess on the weekend likes it! I hope that you do

Gate Fold Card

Here is my first attempt at the gate fold card. I love the idea of the card, but am not too happy with the colouring. I think a brighter colour would look much nicer. Am planning on doing it again using the washington apple DSP.
This card has been done using the perfect plum as a card base, and than I used the sprinkles stamp in perfect plum on pale plum cs. I brushed over the cs with the ink pad to give it that older look. I than used the "priceless" butterfly in the same way, and circle and scalloped punched it.

Briannan's card.. better late than never!

This is the card that Briannan made for her friend. Sorry its taken so long to post, but with Julian being so ill (had him up to the Dr's twice as his breathing was dreadful and he did not eat for 8 days and had a nice temp that whole time) I have gotten his flu, yeah, love getting sick and not being able to take anything for it with being pregnant. Ended up with losing my voice for 3 days as my throat was so sore and infected, still have the flu now. But Julian is having a sleep and I have had 5 minutes alone on the computer...
So here it is Briannan's card. I think that she did a top job on it.

pop up card using great friend and so swirly

I have poor Julian sick at the moment, think he must have picked up a cold somewhere in the last week poor darling. He has been up since early this morning coughing. Daddy and him are having a bit of a sleep so I took the opportunity to have a bit of a play. Briannan is going to a sleep over birthday party so we need a card. We both agreed on a pop up card. Now, I have to let you know that when I started designing the card we both agreed on what She wanted, well.. me being me, took over and created a card definately not suitable for a 12 year old. So as I am doing this blog entry Briannan has been left to herself to create the card that She wanted. After she is done I will post it on here...
This is the card shut so it fits into a standard aussie sized envelope. I used perfect plum c/s and versa marked in the so swirly roller... I know... sooooo unlike me lol! I have put two pink rhinestone brads on either side of the new Oval All punch set from the new mini... Only available until the end of November if you like it! I alo used chocolate chip ribbon on the c/sThis is what it looks like opened. I ued the butterfly from the Good Friend set, again, available from the mini until the end of november. I stamped it onto the ww base c/s in pretty in pink and than rock and rolled it on another sheet of ww c/s in perfect plum and chocolate chip and dimensionald (is that a word?) over the other butterfly. I also used the crop-a-dile to punch in an eyelet and threaded it with the same chocolate chip ribbon that I did on the base.

Upsy Daisy sunset

Here is a card I demonstrated, and we all made, at my weekend workshop. As you can guess by the title, I used the upsy daisy stamp set as a shadowed sunset. Basically we used baby wipes and dipped them into one colour at a time. They were tangerine tango, real red and riding hood red and we wiped them across the white glossy card stock. We used stayz on on our stamp set. I than got everyone to eyelet border the black card stock and we snailed it on to Perfect Plum cardstock. We hand stamped our greeting in stayz on and stamped it on to our regal rose grosgrain ribbon which was than glue dotted onto our cards. Nice card for any occasion!

what do you do at a Stampin' Up! workshop?

I have had a few people ask me how a Stampin' Up! workshop is run. Each demostrator has their own set of rules which they follow. I will gladly share with you what I do at my workshops and even show you a completed card or two!
At my workshops, the hostess is the person who gets everything I make at the workshop. So, I will usaully make 1 3D item, like a bag in a box, or something like that, just to demonstrate how versatile and thick the Stampin' Up! papers are. I usually than will make something that the hostess has asked for, it could be a scrap book page that she (or he) want to fit their album size, to a card with a certain stamp set.
Than the fun begins! I have materials for everyone at the workshop and we all create a step by step project, usually a card, that you all get to take home. Sometimes if time permits,we make a second card, step by step for you to take home!
During the wokshop I run a lucky door prize competition where you get the chance to win an item that I have prepared!!
Workshops usually run for an hour and a half to 2 and a half hours, depending on how many people are at the workshop and how tricky the items are to make.
I think workshops are great, they give you the experience of watching and even using, the tools that you may not have at home. Workshops are great to do with friends as you get to show off everything that you have created!
Here are cards from my last few workshops. The first two cards are from the one workshop that everyone got to make and take home with them! This top card is using the whisper white note cards. We used the Funky Forest roller with the chocolate chip ink. We used a small amount of o saffron under neath our torn and scalloped edged good morning sunshine DSP
This bottom card was made using Pale Plum and blush blossom card stock. We so swirly rolled in versa mark and we created a moving butterfly using dimensionals and coins. We scallop punched the bottom of our card and chocolate chipped a saying that we liked from the short and sweet stamp set. Here is a close up of our moving butterly which was scallop circle punched. I have been making this card since February at workshops as I get a lot of feedback about how easy but affective this card is too make. This card was made for my beautiful hostess at her workshop on the weekend. The hostess received this while everyone else got to see it being made. Jan wanted to see the spot on wheel put too use, so I created this for Jan. It uses the large flower from my pretties kit as well as a white pearl on it. The C/S is one of our current in colours "pink piroutte" the wheel is inked in the same colour. I rock and rolled the chocolate chip and pink piroutte butterfly and used a pop up glue dot under neath it, I than re-inked the butterfly in pink piroutte and cut it out and popped it onto dimensionals. I used the eyelet border with the chocolate chip card stock and overlayed it with the pretty in pink taffeta ribbon. I than used the curly label punch bundle (soooo loving this!) and chocolate chiped the stamp and used dimensionals to pop them on.

A few more questions answered about workshops...

Do I charge for workshops?

No I do not, I do however charge for classes where their are multiple things being made. These are usually advertised and payment is needed before the class.

What is the difference between a workshop and a class?

Workshops are when you get your friends, family around and we all make at least one item. Workshops are done to try to earn you free products and introduce your friends to Stampin' Up! Workshops are usaully held from 4 - 12 people, whereas classes are designed for a larger group, usually 10 - 20 people who are advised beforehand what they are making.

I would like top place an order, do I have to host a workshop?

Orders can be placed whenever you would like items, no you do not have to host a workshop, but it is more beneficial if you do, as others may order and you can earn free product.

How do I organise a workshop?

Just give me a call, comment to this post, or drop me an email and we can organize the date and time that would suit you.

Raspberry Tart.. delicious!

This card was made using the Raspberry Tart DSP. It is basically placed onto black CS and mounted on to Rose Red CS. I have used the word love from the short and sweet stamp set using a marker, the markers are great as the stamp set actually says love you, so the marker saved alot of time! I have used a bit of hodgepodge to frame the word love and than used the circle fire rhinestone brads to add a bit of shimmer.

Bella Bleu me away...

Hello everyone, guess what my gorgeous hubby got me? A new CAMERA yeah!! So I can post photos on here again. My internet is not he best, but I am getting a new connection this week, so long wireless internet!
Here is a card that I made for Ray for our first wedding anniversary, lucky for me the first years marriage gift is paper, so it suited me to a tea!
This is the card:

I used the bella bleu DSP onto a base of chocolate chip. I have also used the three little words set, again stamped in chocolate chip. I used my eyelet border on whisper white and black, it is a gorgeous punch! I also used some hodge podge to try and make the card a litle masculine. I just tore the black to give it more dimension on the card.

I am so loving this years new Designer series paper. This card has been made as a father's day card, I thought it was not too girly with the stripes, but would love some feedback on this one.

Please excuse the poor quality of the photo, Yeah... still the mobile camera ewww!

This card was inked in kiwi kiss on the whisper white c/s and base colour is the baja breeze. The DSP is bordered by basic grey.

So much happening but, not a lot to show!

WOW, it has been so long since my last post I am so sorry!! Ray and I have moved into our own home, it is lovely, we are all very happy! I have done heaps of cards, but, I can not show you very well, my camera, which was only a year old, died on me... So very dissapointing, but I am hoping for my birthday that my dear sweet husband gets the hint lol.
I do have a few photos to put up, they are taken on my mobile, so they are not very good quality at all.

Here is a mothers day card hat I made using chocolate chip, pretty in pink and chocolate chip ribbon, watercolouring was used on this gorgeous flower from the beautiful level 2 hostess samp set "Echoes of Kindness"

This month there is a great special for hostesses, Stampin Up are offering an extra $40 for you to spend on stampin up produc, if you host a workshop and your workshop reaches $600 or over, so for a $600 workshop, not only do you recieve a level one or level two FREE stamp set, you all recieve $110 for this month and July WOW what a bargain! I love in colours!

I am so disappointed that all of the old in colours have been retired, but I must admit that I am LOVING the new in colours! I absolutely love the tangerine tango! It is awesome I love it with a chocolate chip ink or ribbon with it, it is gorgeous, I have made up a card that i currently have at Bec's so as soon as I have it I will post it on here. The reason I am complaining about not having the older colours is because I came across a card I had made with the groovy guava, yet again, I had used the versa mark with the so swirly stamp wheel, Used chocolate chip ribbon on the top and topped it off with a pretties flower and pearl. I used chocolate chip on whisper white card stock and used hodgepodge over the top. It is very simple and as soon as I get some new in colour accessories I will be making up some more soon!

I have a lot of new cards to post on here, so when I am back from doing workshops in sydney and in maryborough I will post what we have been making in our workshops! If you are interested in holding a workshop I am fully booked out until May, please let me know as soon as possible if you would like to hold a workshop!
Happy stamping!
Bell

afternoon tea thanks with pretties

Here is a card using afternoon tea paper which is in the current mini, if you would like this paper, you have until the end of this month to grab it, it is a great pack! I have used chocolate chip paper and groovy guava, and have used 3 pearls from the pretties kit down the bottom.

Friday, March 6, 2009

Thursday, March 5, 2009

thanks....again!!

This card is very simple to make, it uses the going grey as a card base, I have than stamped the bird from fun and fast notes in basic black onto the white card stock, I have than used orchird oppulance and lovely lilac from the bold brights family, paper pierced around the bottom corner of the picture and added a pretties flower and pearl.

another thankyou

Here is another thank you card. I was just thinking how nice that yummy stamp set is, I do like it.

Again anothercard done on basic grey, the neutral colours (apart from vanilla) seem to not get used alot, may be it is the emo in me that likes it lol.
I have also used real red and whisper white. I have embossed the stamp in silver embossing powder and have paper pierced the edges and used the cropadile on the bottom. I have also used a red brad and a bit of real red ribbon as well.

Tuesday, March 3, 2009

thankyou card number two

This next card that I made for Bron was pretty simple, except I keep forgetting how long it takes for white ink to dry! I always seem to have them smudge by the time I got to give them to someone or by the time that they have been moved.

This cards base is cameo coral, and i have paper pierced along the side, just before the basic grey.
I have than white inked the yummy stamp.
Sorry about the picture, for some reason the white kept reflecting which kept throwing on the flash.

This card has been made using groovy guava C/S and chocolate chip layer. I have stamped in basic black the stamp from sab Yummy. I have used whisper white ribbon on the top stuck down with pop up's, I have also used a pretty's flower and pearl as an embellishment. All of these products -apart from the stamp- were products that we used from album in a day

Album In A day - Paper angels, Garry Palmer Memorial Fund thru the australian cancer research foundation

birthday cards

Hello again. I have been a very good girl and have made up my birthday cards for next month yeah me I am so excited I have gotten them all done, I usually remember to do them the day of someones birthday! But before I put the cards in I just wanted to let you know that with the Stampin Up Busfire appeal, stampin Up are already able to donate over $15,000. So please keep your orders coming in for the stamp sets that are being donated the 50% But how great is that! Goes to show the aussie spirit :) Well done.
So here are my cards

This card was made using the embrace life set.. I so hope that this set is going to be in the new catalogue! I love it. I have also used the so swirly wheel in versa mark, again another stamp that I use almost all of the time! I have made this card as a pop up card, I used versa mark on the inside with the sprinkles stamp set. I used pale plum and perfect plum.

This card I made for my nephew Matty, I used the loads of love stamp set, again, another set that I use quite alot especially for male cards. I used the Jersey Shore DSP and stamped the presents from the crazy for christmas stamp set I coloured over them in the BB chalks. I have used Brilliant Blue CS and popped the car on dimensionalsThis card I have used polka dot punches from SAB. I have usedLavender Lace CS and embossed the hearts in silver and used the mats and punched the holes around the top of the CS. A bit of hodgepodge and voilla... I really like this card, It is for my cousin Donna for her birthday.

This card is what I have made for when Hayley is born. Very simple card, but i like it too. I have just paper pierced around the whole card and Punched out vellum it seemed to work better than a solid colour behind the pram, which I have stamped on white CS in blush blossom. Added hodge podge and just used the hostess stamp so many sayings.
