2 more cards... Haven't I been slack!!

Here are 2 more cards for this weeks challenge. The first one I really like. I love its simplicity. I like the way it sits. I am thinking that the way it is designed can have many uses. I have used it as a mans birthday card. I think it would be a nice sympathy card or a nice mens get well card. I have used handsome hunter as C/S base and layered it with East Coast Prep DSP. I have used the flower from the embrace life set, inked it with handsome hunter and stamped on vellum. I have turned the DSP over and placed it with 2 silver brads, thus my 2 embellishments.

The 2nd card I have made has been used with the confetti scrap pack. I have used the stamps from crazy for christmas. I have inked it with black on vellum (Do you think i may like vellum?) and set it on yo yo yellow than used a silver round tag inked with so saffron. It is cute, yet again a unisex card i think.

My luuuuuurve card!

Here is a love you card that i made. As most of you know I prefer simple cards so I dont do alot of flowers and things. So this is a layered card done with basic black and real red. I have stamped the image with black staz on onto vellum and coloured in the back of it with the blender pens and real red ink. I have topped it off with the red fire brads. I have used the short and sweet stamps and the a little bit of happiness stamp set from the hostess level 1.
Personally, if i made the card again, I would not have so many layers, it is rather heavy for a card. But non the less I likes! Let me know if you do.

Bride to Be glitzed and prettied

On our 3rd day now. So far the different themes for cards have been relatively simple, although i am dreading day 6 and 7. Today we have our bride to be card. I have stuck a dimensional behind the flower and have glittered it up. The stamp is (yet again) from our summer mini Big On Spring set. I have again used the sparkles as a background stamp. The colour combination on the card stock is Pink Passion and Lovely Lilac. It is wrapped around with the very vanilla 5/8" grosgrain ribbon.

The "Bride" was stamped with Stayz on on a glossy white c/s. I used the blender pens with the pink passion and lavender lace to fill in the letters. A pretty simple card. Let me know what you think

Embrace life thankyou style with Embellishements and Crystal effects plus a dash of glitter

Here we are on day 2 of our make a different card week. I have used the embrace life set again from the summer mini. As my task is to use different colours every day, this one uses a few different bold brights. I have used only orange as a card base with tempting turquoise, pink passion and yoyo yellow as the card base. I have pastel popped my flowers and used versa mark. I have also cut out 3 flowers pastel popped them and used crystal effects with glitter and popped them on a dimensional. I stamped the thanks (from spring pictograms) onto a metal edge tag and wrapped hemp twine arouond the hodge podge and tempting turqiose tibbon. I have also attached a scallop circle punch to the tag. It took a while for the crystal effects to dry but nothing too long. Oh forgot to mention the small fire brad on the metal edged tag, i think it adds a bit more sparkle!

Hope you like it! Please let me know what you think!

A card a day for a week

So I have set myself a challange to try and create different cards every day for a week. The rules I have given myself are, have to use different colours every day, all the cards have to be for different occasions (oh this is going to be hard) and each card must have an embeleshment.

So here is my card for day 1. It is a baby card. I have done it in bold brights using gable green C/S with wintergeen DSP. I have used the "cute" stamp from the big on spring set (available in the summer mini until March 2009) I have also used the pram from the current catalogue from the fun and fast notes set. As the background stamp I have used sprinkles in the gable green ink. I have embelished in Very Venilla ribbon. I have inked the baby jumpset in gable green and real red heart which i have used a dimensional to attach.

Let me know what you think. I am happy with it, hopefully the mojo is coming back in force!

Embrace Life

Hi there all. I am trying to get my mojo happening for stampin again. I can not seem to get my ideas working though. Oh well its been a bit of a busy time hasn't it. I guess with everything it has become a bit of a task to take a step back and breathe.
Here are my first two plays for the year, the first one would have looked great if my card had not been moved and smudged ... argh!! The second card I have done was a case (an idea) from SSS. (split coast stampers) I like it, it did take a while to cut around the flowers, but, I am sure it would not have taken as long if i was using MY stampin Up scissors and not the kids lovely not sharp ones from school. Since being backwards and forwards to sydney I have misplaced my scissors (INSERT TEARS HERE!!) I am sure that they will turn up eventually.

On another note, I still have dates free to run workshops, so, while sale-a-bration is on, why not take the opportunity to try and recieve some free stamps! If you would like any further information please let me know and I will have a chat. my email is bellross@live.com.au don't be afraid to email me, i love getting emails!

Take care and happy stampin!
